    Welcome to The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy

    The College of Pharmacy was the first college established at The University of Toledo.  The college’s 104-year history includes a tradition of student-centered instruction and excellence in research and patient care.  The 2006 merger of The University of Toledo and the Medical University of Ohio, along with the resulting creation of the UT Health Science Campus, builds upon the distinguished history of the College of Pharmacy and expands our world-class academic health care environment.

    The profession of pharmacy offers many opportunities to contribute to the health of the community.  Licensed pharmacists provide pharmaceutical care in retail and medical settings, counseling patients on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications that prolong life and reduce the impact of many diseases.  More than 25% of the licensed pharmacists in Ohio are University of Toledo graduates.  Pharmaceutical scientists develop medications, conduct research and participate in administrative positions in the pharmacy industry.  Pharmacy graduates assume productive roles in all facets of the pharmaceutical, research and patient care industries.

    The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy features state-of-the-art facilities, including a renowned pharmacy practice lab that allows students to gain real-time experience in a functioning pharmacy.  Clinical and research fellowships and residencies provide students with valuable professional training under the guidance of prominent practitioners.  Our faculty members are recognized authorities in their areas of specialization and conduct cutting edge research that contributes to the development of new treatments and innovations.
