The fourth annual Professional Advancement Ceremony on August 21, 2005 honored 105 PharmD and 62 Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS) students admitted into the 3rd year Professional Division.
High school students from throughout the United States enjoyed Pharmacy Camp 2005, sponsored by CVS, Discount Drug and Walgreens.
José Trevino, Coordinator of Recruitment and Retention along with with Pharm.D. student Kris Alicea presented a program on December 6, 2005 at Whitmer High School
Adelante is a community agency that has an after school program. The students that attended were from high schools in the Toledo area. The students put together a hands cleansing lotion.
The Partnership Board met in September 2005 to discuss the College’s strategic plans, formulate goals, acknowledge members for their service and welcome new faculty.
The University of Toledo with leaders from Walgreens hosted dinner for students elected to offices in several organizations.
More than 60 area migrant and Latino youth participated in "UT Empieza Contigo," an overnight outreach program in July. The program, an extension of the Latino Youth Summit held at UT each May, featured many activities, including a pharmacy lab in which the students prepared perfumes and lotions. Members of the UT College of Pharmacy faculty and staff gathered in January 2005 for the annual College Advancement Planning Conference.
This event was for all entering freshmen pharmacy students.
Homecoming Goes Old School in ‘04 as approximately 80 College of Pharmacy alumni and friends gathered in October to kick off Homecoming Weekend with a Wine & Cheese Reception.
Pharmacy student organizations gathered in the spring for the college’s first Pharmacy Phield Day, which included pill counting contests, volleyball and a hula hoop competition.
The ceremony honored 105 PharmD and 54 Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS) students admitted into the 3rd year Professional Division.
